Welcome to Spring and the 2022 nesting season of the Green Meadows Preserve Bluebird Trail!

The male is doing some serious supervision of the nest building.

Full nest completed, using pine straw.

Both the male and female are busy with building the nest.

Winter has finally arrived, but doesn’t very much feel like winter!

Today is our first day of winter! Cool today, but near 70% on Christmas Day, no white Christmas this year.

Our Tree of Life as we like to call her, the 186 year old Southern Red Oak and how she has looked on the first day of each season this year.

The beautiful red leaves and
acorns in the fall.

FALL IS BEAUTIFUL WITH ALL THE FALLING LEAVES!

Leaves may be a lot of work for those of us that have a lot of trees in our yards, but just think of how much good they do for wildlife and as nutrients for other trees and plants.

This is our beautiful Georgia State Bird, please save your leaves for them!

Just think of all the Trees in forest, the only source of fertilizer
they get is from the falling leaves and the nutrition from when
the leaves decompose!

This Southern Red Oak Tree just turned 186 years
old this October.

This beautiful Male Bluebird is enjoying a morning
of sunning while setting on one of the feeder stations.

Please add Saturday November 13th to your
calendar and remember to come join us for our
scheduled for the Public
Bluebird Trail Walk & Talk Tour!

I hope to see you soon on a walk at the Green Meadows Preserve PARK!
